First Championship Maegashira Koji Kihanada Grand Sumo Championship Title Miniature Version
In the January 1992 tournament, at just 19 years and 5 months old, Takanohana won his first top division championship and sparked the unprecedented 'Wakaki Boom,' marking a monumental item for Takanohana (later the 65th Yokozuna Takanohana). This is the official plaque bearing the name 'Maegashira Kihanada Koji Seki' from the early stages of his career.
This is the official commemorative plaque faithfully scaled down and reproduced by Mainichi Shimbun for the massive championship plaque of Sumo wrestler, the highest division champion in the top division (about five tatami mats), displayed in Ryogoku .
