Yokozuna's First Championship First Generation Wakanohana Kanji Grand Sumo Championship Plaque Miniature Version
This is a commemorative masterpiece in the September 1958 (Showa 33) tournament, when the 45th Yokozuna and first Wakanohana Kanji, who together with Tochinishiki established the unprecedented 'Tochiwaka era,' won with 14 wins and 1 loss.
Since his promotion to Yokozuna in March of the same year, this was the first time he had secured the prestigious 'First Yokozuna Championship (4th overall)' since he tied the rope.
This is the official commemorative plaque faithfully scaled down and reproduced by Mainichi Shimbun for the massive championship plaque of Sumo wrestler, the highest division champion in the top division (about five tatami mats), displayed in Ryogoku .
